Meet Mrs. Griesheim
Hello! My name is DeeDee Griesheim. I was born and raised in Phenix City and am a proud product of the Phenix City School System!
I graduated in December 2009 from Columbus State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. My first teaching position after graduation was Pre-Kindergarten at St. Luke Early Learning Center, where I taught for one year. I soon moved to the public school systems where I first substituted in Muscogee County and then served as a paraprofessional for 1st Grade at Gentian Elementary. In 2013, I happily returned home to the Phenix City School System and began teaching 1st grade at Lakewood Primary! I am happily married to my best friend Elliott Griesheim. We were married in June of 2013 and are loving our lives together! Elliott is a computer scientist, which really comes in handy for this not so tech savvy teacher! We love to travel and our favorite place to visit is Disney World! We also enjoy serving together at our church where we often have the opportunity to lead worship and are currently involved in ministering to college students. Teaching allows me the humbling opportunity to impact lives forever. It is my goal to be a positive influence in the life of each and every student that enters my classroom! My goal as a teacher is to make learning fun and memorable for my students for years to come. I believe learning should be captivating and engaging. I want to help my students achieve those "aha moments" in which they construct new and deeper understanding of knowledge and the world around them.
